Jen Storer has written many acclaimed books for children, including the best-selling ‘Truly Tan’ series (illustrated by Claire Robertson, published by HarperCollins Publishers).

The eighth and final book in the series, Truly Tan: Shocked!  was released in February 2021.

Truly Tan (book one) has been optioned for a live action film and is currently in development.

Her ‘Danny Best’ series (illustrated by Mitch Vane, published by HarperCollins Publishers) includes Danny Best: Full On!,  Danny Best: Never Wrong!, and Danny Best: Me First!

The fourth and final book in the series, Danny Best: Watch This!  was released in (2020). 

Jen is the author of the middle grade fantasy novels, Tensy Farlow and the Home for Mislaid Children (shortlisted for many awards including, the Prime Minister’s Literary Awards and the CBCA Book of the Year), The Accidental Princess (illustrated by Lucia Masciullo) and  The Fourteenth Summer of Angus Jack (illustrated by Lucinda Gifford). Jen’s ‘Crystal Bay’ series includes Quincy Jordan and Romy Bright.

Jen is also a picture book creator whose titles include the much loved, Clarrie’s Pig Day Out (illustrated by Sue deGennaro), and Blue, the Builder’s Dog (illustrated by Andrew Joyner).

Her third picture book, Wibble Wobble, (illustrated by Lisa Stewart) was released in 2019 with HarperCollins Publishers.


Jen is also the founding director and ‘Chief Inspirationalist’ at girl & duck.com where she teaches the art (and business) of writing books for children.

Girl & Duck is a flourishing online community of children’s literature creators (authors, illustrators, publishers, editors, designers and enthusiasts) with members from all over the world including, Australia, Asia, the USA, Canada, the UK and Europe.

Jen’s extraordinary membership site, the Duck Pond, is adored by its members.

After decades of city living, Jen and her partner now live in a beautiful country town in Central Victoria, Australia.
